Professional threaded rod cutters for precise, burr-free cuts

Whether on the construction site, in steel construction or during the assembly of electrical installations: Our threaded rod cutters are the first choice for precise and safe cutting to length of metric threaded rods. Thanks to mechanical or hydraulic cutting technology, they deliver millimetre-precise results without burr formation and without any reworking, flying sparks or material deformation.

Ideal for daily use on construction sites

The devices are designed for professional use: With their high cutting performance, infinitely adjustable cutting depth and precise fixing of the bar, they enable clean and speedy work, even for series applications. Many models have a battery-powered hydraulic drive and are therefore mobile and can be used independently of external power packs.

Advantages at a glance:

  • Clean cuts without sparks or splinters - ideal for use in sensitive environments
  • Precise length adjustment thanks to infinitely variable depth adjustment
  • No reworking necessary - no deformation, no burr formation
  • Robust cutting jaws for steel up to Ø 20 mm (e.g. M20 threaded rods)
  • Ergonomic design for fatigue-free working, even during long periods of use
  • Compatible with standard M threaded rods and other steel profiles

Cut threaded rods to length efficiently and safely

Compared to angle grinders or cut-off saws, our mechanical threaded rod cutters and steel mesh cutters offer a safer, cleaner and quieter alternative. They are indispensable helpers for specialised companies, electricians and metalworkers, especially when working indoors or on tight construction sites.

Our sales team will be happy to help you find the right threaded rod cutter for your application. Whether for steel mats, supporting structures or industrial fastening systems, we will be happy to advise you.

Frequently asked questions about threaded rod cutters (FAQ)

What is the difference between a tap and a threaded rod cutter?

A tap cuts an internal thread into a pre-drilled hole, for example for screws in metal parts. A threaded rod cutter , on the other hand, cuts finished threaded rods (e.g. M8, M10, M12) to the desired length. The external thread is retained exactly, without deformation or burrs.

Which threaded rod cutter do I need for M10 or M12?

This depends on the material thickness and frequency of use. For frequent applications in steel, we recommend battery-powered hydraulic devices with a high cutting capacity. Our models cut metric threaded rods up to M20 easily and cleanly.

Are your threaded rod cutters suitable for stainless steel?

Yes - with the right cutting jaws, even high-strength or stainless steel threaded rods can be reliably cut to length. Contact us and we will recommend the right device and accessories for stainless steel processing.

Why is a threaded rod cutter better than a cut-off grinder?

A cut-off machine generates heat, flying sparks and burrs, which leads to reworking and loss of time. Threaded rod cutters work burr-free, spark-free and almost silently. This saves time, increases safety and delivers better results - especially when working in series.

Which drill fits which tap?

This question concerns internal threads, not cutting threaded rods to length. If you want to cut threads in metal parts, you need the right core hole diameter (e.g. 8.5 mm for M10). Pre-drilling is not necessary for cutting external threaded rods to length.
