These safety cutting devices are approved for DIN EN 50110-1 (VDE 0105 Part 1) § 6.2.3. They are used to cut low and medium voltage cables up to 60 kV. They are manufactured in accordance with DIN EN 50340 (VDE 0682 part 661).
If a cable that is accidentally under voltage is cut, there is no danger to the operator.
The 10-meter-long special high-pressure hose that connects the pump with the cutting head guarantees maximum safety thanks to its insulating properties. The hose has a GS certificate. The cutting process can be checked by observing the pressure gauge on the pump, because the cutting head cannot usually be seen when cutting a cable.
