ADVANTAGES OF THE QUICK SCREEN WIDTH CHANGE
The patented Simex system for quick screen width change via a control element in the driver's cab allows the shafts on which the screening tools are mounted to be brought closer together or moved apart in order tochangethe grain size of the screened material immediately. This guarantees the operator speed of execution, significant time savings and marked versatility: different materials can be processed, eliminating deadtimes due to the adjustment of the distance between the shafts orthe change of tools as with conventional systems.
HIGH PERFORMANCE EVEN IN WET SOIL
Simex has opted for the development oftechnologywith moving shaftswithquick operation and the design of high-performance tools, as thesearemore reliablethanconventional systemsinwet and muddy soil. The screening elements are made up of discs of different diameters that interlock perfectly to produce a high material throughput: the wet material is conveniently screened without the risk of it accumulating between the screening tools or sticking to the inner walls of the bucket, as is often the case with conventional screening systems.
FIT:FIVE INDEPENDENT TOOLS
Each tool consists of 5 discs (or blades)and two spacers that secure the discs to the centre element. The tools are thensecuredto the shaftwithclamps and two boltswithoutwelding, allowing the snap-in discstobe easily removed and replaced: This results inasaving of up to 75% on maintenance costs,as even a single screen disc or screen blade can be replaced. The shafts do not need to be removed for replacement: Each element can be replaced individually, in just a few minutes, simply using a hammer and punch.
NUMEROUS CONFIGURATIONS AND INTERCHANGEABLE DISCS
The system allowsnumerousconfigurations to better adapt to the material to be screened.Simex offers4basic configurations, but others are possible thanks to the interchangeable discs that make up the screening tool. The new tools are backwards compatible with the previous system.
CONFIGURATION FOR RECYCLING MATERIAL
The configuration for recycling material is suitable for screeningmixedsoilwithdry clay, gravel, silt and peat. It is particularly suitable for the oil & gas sector forlayingbedsandcoveringpipelines andensureshigh productivity when sorting demolition materials.
CONFIGURATION FOR BREAKING APART
The break-out configuration ensures high performance withtopsoil, plant waste, clay and peat. It is often used for sievinggrowing media in horticulture andlandscaping. The centre "rake" blade ensures easy breaking of existing demolition debris, stones and concrete.
MIXED CONFIGURATION
The mixed configuration ensures high productivity even inmoistsoilwithstones, gravel or clay present. Particularly suitable forlightcrushing, for sieving growing media in agriculture and horticulture. Very effective for the treatment of plant waste and forsoilimprovementwiththe removal of stones.
AGGRESSIVE CONFIGURATION
Separation of wet and moist material that tends to stick to stones, roots and demolition debris. Increased crushing through toothed elements only.
SCREENING OF AGGREGATE MATERIALS
The VSE bucket for excavators finds its natural application in materials from demolition or excavation. It ensures screened material thatcanbe reused asstabilisingmaterial in the construction sector or asaggregatefor road substructures.
BACKFILLING AND COVERING OF PIPELINES
When backfilling and covering underground pipelines, particularly in the oil & gas sector, the quickscreen width changeofthe VSE buckets forexcavatorsoffersconsiderableadvantages for optimising time and costs. Thanks to the Simex patent, different grainsizescanbeachieved immediately both for the laying bed and for the subsequent backfilling of the excavation.
SOIL IMPROVEMENT WITH REMOVAL OF STONES, ROOTS AND OTHER MATERIALS
The VSE bucket proves to be an extremely versatile attachment forcleaningsurfaces of stones and other materials and for soil improvement. Thanks to the rapid change in screen width for the emerging material, the operator can achieve three different grain sizes with just one bucket filling: finely screened material for thelandscapearea, medium grain size with a size of less than 55 mm and finally coarse grain size that can be reused on the construction site.
HORTICULTURE, VEGETABLE GROWING, COMPOST AERATION
Simex VSE separator shovels make it possible tosieve, reduce and aerate plant waste and soilwithjust one shovel fillinginorder to speed up the composting phase or to transfer pre-treated material to disposal facilities, thereby simplifying processes and reducing costs. The material mixed with a VSE is also suitable forsubsequentresale in horticulture, agriculture and horticulture. Whether the soil is dry, moist or muddy, the technology with moving shaftspreventsthe material from jamming between the screening tools.
