Manual hydraulic wedge crusher for controlled demolition
The TEHMA SP400/SP600 manual hydraulic wedge crusher for controlled demolition is a portable tool designed for rock crushing and controlled demolition of concrete and cement inside buildings. Its light weight, combined with its extreme power and ease of use, make it ideal for a triple use:
as a rock crusher, for crushing large stones in trenching, tunnelling and cross-cutting, finishing work in underground mining, working on penstocks, working on building foundations and basements and for secondary rock cutting.
as a concrete press to crush reinforced concrete structures and structures that are not very thick, such as pillars, foundations, plinths, retaining walls and beams, without generating vibrations and limiting noise and dust.
as a hydraulic wedge crusher, in quarries for the production of natural stone blocks (marble, granite, sandstone) without the use of explosive charges.
This is why our tools are permitted to work in areas where noise and dirt are not allowed, such as residential buildings, offices, schools and hospitals. At the same time, the health of those using the tool for controlled demolition is protected and the maximum safety of those involved in the demolition is guaranteed.
The result is an extremely versatile and functional manual hydraulic wedge breaker for controlled demolition, an indispensable partner for all indoor demolition work and the ideal complement to the CC300 TEHMA manual portable hydraulic demolition pliers and shears for concrete demolition.
Its versatility and effectiveness make this manual hydraulic wedge an indispensable partner in rescue operations when it comes to helping victims trapped under rubble due to earthquakes and other catastrophic events (U.S.A.R. applications).
Rock and concrete have a naturally low tensile strength, so by applying hydraulic pressure to a wedge, large sections of material can be removed in just a few seconds. The TEHMA SP400/SP600 hydraulic hand wedge crusher for controlled demolition enables targeted, quiet and economical work!
Carbide inner layer for less friction
Ergonomic handle for optimum grip
Cylinder and components made from aircraft alloy
Splitting direction defined by handle orientation.
The TEHMA SP400 manual hydraulic demolition wedge breaker demolishes rocks and large stones as well as concrete and reinforced concrete structures (pillars, plinths, retaining walls, foundations and slabs) with incredible ease and precision.
Its extreme power allows it to demolish without generating dangerous shocks and vibrations, which generally cause damage to structures and pollution to the environment. Progressive, replaceable wedges ensure maximum demolition performance.
Demolition of thick concrete and reinforced concrete structures (e.g. foundations, floors, stairs, plinths, pillars, slabs, bridge piers, retaining walls, columns and beams).
Demolition of rocks and large boulders from excavations and trenches, work and crossings in tunnels, lining work in underground mines, on pressurised pipelines, for the construction of foundations and basements of buildings and for secondary rock excavation.
Wherever it is important to work quickly and cleanly without creating dust (hospitals, data centres, production departments of companies).
Demolition with maximum noise protection at all times of day (condominiums, offices, schools).
Where the use of larger and heavier machines is not possible for reasons of space and transport (on the upper floors of buildings, on lifting platforms, in confined spaces such as cellars or near gas, water and sewage networks).
Where the use of larger and heavier machines is not possible for reasons of space and transport (on the upper floors of buildings, on lifting platforms, in confined spaces such as cellars or in the vicinity of gas, water and waste water networks).
Operations in the presence of water and under water.
In quarries for the production of natural stone blocks (marble, granite, sandstone) without the use of explosive charges, which guarantees greater safety and less waste of material.
U.S.A.R. applications. (Urban Search and Rescue), where you need to help victims trapped under rubble due to earthquakes, floods and explosions caused by gas leaks.
How it works
A hole of a specific diameter and depth is drilled into the object to be demolished using a normal rock drill or a diamond core drill.
The portable, hydraulic TEHMA SP400/SP600 rock splitter is inserted into the hole with the centre wedge retracted.
The operator aligns the rear handle according to the desired splitting direction and operates the tool using the control cam.
The hydraulic pressure pushes the centre wedge between the two side wedges and presses them against the walls of the hole until the force exceeds the resistance of the material and the crack is created.
The process is repeated until the entire object is shredded into sections of different sizes, depending on requirements and equipment, which can be removed and disposed of.
SP400 - Hand-operated rock splitter for controlled demolition without vibration
The SP400 is a compact, powerful hydraulic rock splitter from Tehma that has been specially developed for the vibration-free and dust-free demolition of rock, concrete and reinforced concrete. Its enormous demolition force of 3,620 kN and the hand-guided design make it particularly suitable for hard-to-reach areas and applications in sensitive conditions - even under water. Interchangeable wedges ensure maximum performance with minimum impact on the structure and surroundings.
The SP400 belongs to the Concrete Crusher & Pulveriser category and is listed on the hand-held demolition pliers overview page. Further areas of application can be found under tools for recycling and demolition.
