Core drilling machines

Hand-held HYCON core drills can be used both in standard drilling rigs and as hand-held tools, which gives the products considerable flexibility.
Furthermore, the core drilling machine’s performance enables holes of up to ø350 mm to be drilled in all materials – including those with reinforcement.
By purchasing just ONE of HYCON’s core drilling machines, you’ll be able to carry out a WIDE VARIETY of tasks.
All parts are oil-lubricated – a guarantee of a long service life and low maintenance costs. The tool is resistant to water, dust, etc.

When working with a HYCON saw or core drill in conjunction with a HYCON power unit or an oil flow divider, the operator is protected against kickback or trapped fingers thanks to the automatic safety shut-off system. For added safety, an additional ASCO valve has been fitted to some tools, such as our HCD coredrill.
The ASCO system uses a safety valve that acts like a clutch between the power unit and the tool. During operation, it is fully locked, but the moment the system detects that a saw blade or core drill is jammed, the clutch disengages and the tool comes to an immediate halt.
The advantage of the ASCO valve’s positioning is that it ensures that any inertia in the motors does not lead to kickback or unwanted movements, thereby protecting the user.
