This specialised bucket combines the functions of an excavator bucket and a vacuum suction unit, and can also be used as an air blower.On demolition sites in particular, it is worthwhile separating smaller and lighter demolition waste from the larger rubble. This results in lower waste disposal charges. These charges are usually calculated by weight.And why not use a standard excavator bucket? With an HRVB, less gravel and rock ends up in the waste container, which would otherwise add unnecessary extra weight. Unlike manual cleaning and sorting, which involves hard ‘legwork’, the HRVB is much faster and more effective. In other words: using an HRVB recycling vacuum bucket is significantly more cost-effective than the traditional method.From the demolition site straight into the waste containerWith the HRVB, materials such as wool, plastic, pieces of wood and expanded clay (LECA) can be collected from the demolition rubble. However, it is even possible to collect certain materials, such as wool, as soon as they are exposed during the demolition of the building. This means the wool can be collected directly and does not get mixed in with the rubble from other waste.For daily use on construction sitesThe HRVB hydraulic recycling vacuum bucket can be used for daily clean-up work on the construction site. Construction sites are often extensive, and plastic waste in particular is frequently carried into the environment by the wind. An excavator fitted with a vacuum shovel carries out these daily cleaning tasks quickly and effortlessly.How does the bucket work?The vacuum bucket can be fitted with a quick-coupling connection to attach it easily to the excavator. There are four hydraulic connections on the bucket. Two of these are for the pressure and return lines of the hydraulic motor that drives the fan blade. As the hydraulic flow rate is directly linked to the fan blade speed, the suction or air blow volume flow can be continuously adjusted via the oil flow. The operator can use the two additional hydraulic connections to control the suction-side hatch or the size of the suction opening from the cab.The scoop also features a connection for an additional vacuum hose on the rear of the scoop. This additional connection allows the operator to use the unit for manual vacuum suction work carried out by ‘foot operation’. This function is particularly advantageous for tasks where precision is crucial. The recommended diameter of the suction hose is 80–100 millimetres, enabling rapid vacuum suction even in confined spaces. For example, it is possible to remove sand from rainwater drainage pipes using an additional vacuum hose and the vacuum shovel. In other words, the additional connection on the recycling vacuum shovel reduces the need for an additional vacuum truck.Air-blowing capability as a toolBut what about using it as an air-blowing tool? The air-blowing or fan side is located on the same side as the additional suction connection for manual suction work. In principle, air always blows out of the air-blowing connection whenever the vacuum shovel is in operation. However, if the shovel is to be used for blowing air, it must first be rotated to the other side using a rotator. This makes it possible, for example, to blow leaves, rubbish and snow off the paths.
